Founded in 1983 Mana Foods has been serving the local community for over 30 years. The original logo was a hand drawn painting of tropical Maui and the beachfront community of Paia. Recognized as an icon for years, it remained as a powerful symbol for a community devoted to locally sourced and ethically grown organic foods. The new logo was created in an attempt to freshen up the look while still remaining true to it’s Maui roots.
Maka by Mana is a new restaurant in Paia from the Mana Foods family focused on locally sourced organics with a raw and vegan fusion menu and fresh juice bar. After the positive feedback from creating the new Mana Foods logo, I was tasked with creating a logo treatment for Maka. The brief was to craft a raw and leafy green vibe. After a few curvy font experimentations we were able to create a new look while still incorporating the Mana Foods brand.
